Today is a very auspicious day in the Chinese Calendar and we’ve chosen it to open our new office in Beijing, China. Roy Zhu, Head of Sales, China heads the operations. Our office is right in the middle of the Financial District and Telco headquarters - very handy to some of our current and future partners and customers.

For us here at Tomizone, it’s a day to celebrate another major milestone along our journey!

Today we’ve announced our partnership with Coordinate Technologies based in Beijing, China who are responsible for turning on Tomizone functionality on over 2,000 Wi-Fi Hotspots across China including Beijing and Shanghai Airports!

Over time our business is set to grow in this country as we gear up a team in China with Coordinate and D-Link. Since we switched our service on over this past week, we’ve seen some incredible usage. To the team in China - thanks for getting things going smoothly!

This is a very big moment for us at Tomizone - we’ve inked a Global Alliance Partner agreement with D-Link at their HQ in Taipei, Taiwan!

This means the Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspot application will be available “off the shelf” globally over time as we work with D-Link to introduce our product to their customers around the world. Following the success we’ve had in Australasia over the past few years, this logical next step cements our working relationship to keep providing an excellent point of difference for the D-Link product range. Our first roll outs are in India and China - two giant markets where D-Link have some excellent distribution and reputation.

This past week has been massive for Tomizone. We have officially hit more than 10,000 active Hotspots!

Recently, we also received a research report from ICT independent research company, Agitavi, reporting that we are now the largest provider in Australasia (as at this mornings count, we had around 9,500 in the region).

We’ve put together a snapshot on Google Maps here of the Hotspots (total around 10,200) so you can see where we seem to be popular.

Thanks to all the Tomizone Hotspot Owners who have activated the Wi-Fi Hotspot feature and thanks also to our many partners and alliance companies who have helped, advised, distributed, made and promoted Tomizone! We’re grateful for your support.
