In the last 30 days Auckland Libraries have delivered 14.8 million minutes of Free WiFi and 35 Terabytes of data to the wider Auckland community

Auckland has the largest group of Libraries in Australasia with 59 sites that attract more than 12.5 million visitors annually.

The digital library will be the area of most significant growth and change over the next 10 years. This shift will put the library in every pocket, reflecting the speed of change to mobile connection and interaction, as customers both consume and create digital content.

Auckland Council has an ambitious long term vision for Auckland to be the world’s most liveable city.

Auckland Libraries contribute to the outcomes of this vision as they reshape Library services in response to the digital revolution while maintaining their community obligations.

To support these goals Auckland Libraries asked Tomizone to create a Digital Experience that would

  • Reward visitors with access to Free WiFi
  • Grow the overall number of visitors to their physical and online sites
  • Increase the number of active Library card holders
